Melts, a wellness brand specializing in dissolvable oral strip delivery technology, has filed an initial patent application on a technology that can improve the absorption of nutrients with its products. The application covers a biofilm disruption technology to enable greater absorption of amino acids, vitamins, and other nutrients more effectively.

The natural barrier inside the mouth, called the oral biofilm, can prevent key nutrients from reaching their intended destination. Melts’ new system directly addresses absorption issues with a blend of several naturally-derived components that can open the oral barrier so nutrients can be absorbed more easily. It uses a protective ingredient system to help sensitive compounds dissolve and stay stable.

When combined with products like Melts’ fast-dissolving strips, active ingredients can enter the bloodstream more effectively, bypassing digestive breakdown.

Each strip dissolves in 60-90 seconds, with absorption beginning within 30 seconds. According to Melts, this offers faster effects, better absorption, and a simple, water-free experience.

“Submitting this patent application is a major milestone for Melts,” said Sam Bregmen, co-founder of Melts. “It reflects our continued commitment to real science to make wellness more effective and more accessible.”
